BALTIMORE, Md. — A Pennsylvania man is being held without bond in the Baltimore County Detention Center after he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and her 10-year-old child during a traffic accident on I-83, Maryland State Police said.

Police responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a gray Toyota Corolla on southbound I-83 on October 9, 2024.

The driver of the Corolla, later identified as 40-year-old Gary Douglas of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist.

At that point, investigators began searching for the Corolla. Later that day they found it at Fort Meade.

With assistance from the Army Criminal Investigation Division, investigators searched the car with a search warrant and found a loaded handgun.

Douglas was arrested without incident and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He faces charges including two counts of aggravated assault, use of a firearm during a felony, handgun offenses and other related charges.

The victim and her child were not injured in the incident.
