Fall River shooting and stabbing under investigation

FALL RIVER – Police are investigating a shooting and assault that occurred early Wednesday morning on Dickinson Street that left one victim dead and the other seriously injured.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, Fall River police responded to 490 Dickinson St. around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, for a report that two people had been injured.

A 55-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds. A woman, identified as Remy Aull, 42, suffered a single gunshot wound, a press release from the district attorney’s office said.

Police: A man was stabbed and a woman was shot in Fall River’s South End. They are looking for suspects.

Aull was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead later that night at 10:15 p.m. The male stabbing victim was also hospitalized and was in stable condition as of Wednesday afternoon.

An investigation by detectives from the Massachusetts State Police, Fall River Police and the Homicide Unit’s Office is “active and ongoing,” according to the DA’s office.
