Truckee River Day and Fair

Collaborate with your friends and meet new ones – because together we are repairing and restoring our watershed. The Truckee River Day projects are intended to enhance the benefits of large-scale restoration work completed in recent years. Activities such as planting native seeds, planting pastures, mulching, building beaver dams, improving trails and stabilizing stream banks help replenish groundwater, increasing the moisture of vegetation that supports important habitats , and to maintain water flow in our streams well into the dry season.

Truckee River Day will take place on Sunday, October 20, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at various locations throughout the watershed. Restoration projects begin at 9 and 11 a.m. and are open to all ages and abilities.
