Police say at least two suspects are at large following the Knoxville shooting

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – At least two suspects are still on the run after a shooting at a Knoxville bar, according to Knoxville police.

KPD communications manager Scott Erland shared the news Thursday, saying a 61-year-old Florida man had to be taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center after he was shot at the BucketHead Tavern on Ray Mears Boulevard.

According to Erland, officers responded to the bar around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and learned that at least two people were involved in the shooting. Erland said the man had just left the bar when they confronted him.

“The victim was shot and the suspects left the scene in the victim’s car, a red Cadillac XT6,” Erland said.

That car was later found on Atlantic Avenue, Erland said.

Anyone with information is asked to call East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at 865-215-7165.
