Emergency crews respond to a car-deer crash early Thursday on I-70 west of Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Emergency crews responded to a report of a car-deer crash involving a vehicle smoking on Interstate 70 west of Topeka early Thursday.

The crash was reported at 7:38 a.m. Thursday on eastbound I-70 near the SW West Union Road exit.

Initial reports indicated smoke was coming from a vehicle that had struck a deer.

It was not initially possible to determine whether the vehicle was smoking or on fire.

There was also no immediate news of injuries.
