Sabrina Carpenter covers Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” during the Spectacular Nashville show

Sabrina Carpenter treated her sold-out audience at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to a special cover of the unofficial Queen of Country Music, delivering a breathtaking rendition of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5.”

Carpenter’s decision to perform the iconic anthem elicited a chorus of screams from the Music City audience, with the “Espresso” hitmaker showcasing her smooth, enchanting vocals as she navigated the opening verse and energetic hook.

Sabrina Carpenter has proven her love of the genre throughout her career, with one of the many highlights being her 2024 album: Short and sweet“Slim Pickins” that explore a distinctly rural feel. Here’s hoping it won’t be long before Carpenter releases a full-length country album following the likes of Beyoncé and Post Malone.

Earlier this year, Carpenter brought in Kacey Musgraves for a mesmerizing duet of Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walkin” during her momentous Outside Lands set.

Elsewhere during the Pennsylvania singer-songwriter’s performance at Bridgestone Arena, she sang a number of standout tunes Short and sweetsuch as “Please Please Please”, “Bed Chem” and “Juno”, the latter of which featured a new country-themed track.

Sabrina Carpenter’s hit-filled show was imbued with the global phenomenon’s trademark playfulness and charisma, with the performance marked by a variety of innovative staging options, a number of hilarious outfit changes and a number of impeccably performed catchy tunes.

After her performance in Nashville, Tennessee, Sabrina Carpenter’s Short and sweet tour rolls into Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Florida and Texas through the remainder of October.
