NEW DELHI: A man is accused of sexually abusing a three-year-old girl Private school in Noida was arrested and sent to judicial custody For 14 days, police confirmed. The defendant is an employee of the school.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Manish Kumar Mishra said on Thursday that the girl, who studies in a school in Sector 27, told her mother that the accused allegedly did “dirty things” with her.
The investigation revealed that the defendant was Nityananda resident of Nithari village who allegedly committed the crime at school. The incident left the child frightened and silent, and her parents noticed a change in behavior.
According to Mishra, when questioned by her parents, the girl revealed the incident. The family then lodged a complaint at the Sector 20 police station on October 10. A case was registered under relevant sections of the BNS and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the accused was arrested on October 11.
The defendant worked as a sweeper at the school on a contract basis through an agency.
The school management said police had reviewed the school’s CCTV footage but found no evidence of the incident.
