Two people were injured in a crash in Maple Lake on Wednesday

Maple Lake (WJON News) – Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred on Highway 55 in Maple Lake just after 2 p.m

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the man is a 33-year-old Samantha Evenson from Buffalo was a 60-year-old traveling east on Highway 55 Julie Woennerberg from Clear Lake headed north on Wright County Road 8.

The two cars collided at the intersection.

A third vehicle was driven by a 23-year-old Trevor Homola from Watertown was stopped in the right turn lane. The pickup truck was also hit in the collision.

Evenson was taken to Buffalo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and Wennerberg was taken to Monticello Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Homola was not injured.

The patrol says Evenson was not wearing a seatbelt.
