A five-year-old is injured in a crash between a school bus and two cars in Steuben County

ERWIN, NY – A 5-year-old is in the hospital after a crash involving a school bus and two cars in Steuben County Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred on State Route 417 in the town of Erwin. According to New York State Police, a Dodge car failed to stop when an Addison Central school bus was traveling in the opposite direction. The Dodge crashed into a Toyota that had stopped for the school bus, forcing the Toyota into the bus.

The 5-year-old in the Toyota was flown to Strong Hospital and is in stable condition. The school bus driver and all six passengers were uninjured. The driver of the Dodge was issued three Erwin Town Court tickets
