One soldier died and five others were injured in a horrific accident in Binduri

In a tragic incident near Binduri in the Upper East Region, one soldier died and five others were seriously injured following a horrific accident on October 15, 2024, according to a report by 3news.com.

The soldiers, who were returning to the base after accompanying a government official, witnessed the accident when their truck reportedly went off the road in Bazua and overturned several times.

According to TV3’s Upper East Regional correspondent Castro Senyalah, the military truck with registration number 15 GA 04 was on its way from Bawku to Bazua when the accident occurred.

The deceased soldier was said to be a member of the 11th Mechanized Battalion in Bawku.

The five injured soldiers were taken to Bolgatanga Regional Hospital and Tamale Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
