Liam Payne’s tragic death eerily mirrors the dangerous balcony stunt 10 years ago

Years before his tragic death, Liam Payne once made a shocking apology for a dangerous balcony stunt that has now taken on new meaning.

The former One Direction star, who died after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, had previously described his own actions as “stupid and irresponsible” after sharing a photo of himself balancing on a balcony ledge.

At the time, Payne pressed I’m sorry and I don’t support fans trying to repeat this as it is extremely dangerous.

The image was quickly removed, but his words now resonate eerily given his tragic death.

Payne, who struggled with personal challenges following One Direction’s split, was in Argentina at the time of his death.

Emergency services responded to an incident at a luxury hotel in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, where police encountered a reportedly drunk and combative Payne. Tragically, he was found dead in the hotel courtyard.

In the weeks before his death, Payne attended a concert by his former bandmate Niall Horan and had spoken openly about his battle with addiction and his time in rehab.

Just hours before the fatal fall, Payne was active on Snapchat, sharing updates about his adventures in Argentina, including horseback riding and playing polo, and expressing his excitement at being reunited with his dog at home.

His earlier apology for the balcony stunt, which has now resurfaced, adds a disturbing note to the heartbreaking event.
