Gainesville man dies after motorcycle accident in Alachua

ALACHUA, Fla. (WCJB) – A Gainesville man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Alachua Wednesday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 50-year-old man was riding a motorcycle along US 441 around 7:30 a.m. when he collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Northwest 163rd Lane.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck suffered no injuries. FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
