“Daily Show” goes there with a stomach-churning statement about Trump

“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic said Donald Trump’s approval rating among women is “a little below a yeast infection.”

The former president tried to appeal to female voters during a Fox News event, but Lydic said the attempt foundered early on with a stage set that featured wagons and hay bales.

“It’s a reminder of the good old days,” Lydic said, “when men were men and women weren’t allowed to vote.”

At the event, Trump — who played a crucial role in restricting reproductive rights by appointing the Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade — declared himself the “Father of IVF.”

Lydic appeared pained after hearing Trump’s comment.

“It’s not enough to say you support IVF. You have to make it weird and say, ‘I’m the father of IVF,'” she said. “Sounds like he broke into the lab and fertilized all the eggs with his own pudding.”

The audience laughed and groaned at the same time.

“Now I can never eat pudding again,” Lydic joked.
