Shooting at Village Apartments, one person transported to local hospital

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – News 11 was on the scene of a shooting at the Village Apartments on Highway 19 in Meridian.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening around 9:00 am.

When News 11 arrived on scene, one person was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital.

MPD says there is a person of interest, but no person is currently in custody.
