Israeli attack targets Syrian Latakia, Syrian state media reports

An Israeli attack on the Syrian Mediterranean port city of Latakia led to fires early Thursday, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

Firefighters were working to extinguish the fires, SANA added.

Syrian state television reported that the country’s air defenses attacked Israeli targets over Latakia.
