Former One Direction star Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy dumped her boyfriend just three days before his death in Argentina, as more shocking details emerged about the circumstances of his tragic death

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ that Payne and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy arrived in Argentina on September 30 and shared several social media posts about their vacation. However, Cassidy reportedly left Argentina on October 14, leaving Payne behind, who checked into the CasaSur Palermo Hotel alone.

Kate shared a video with her Snpachat followers from her return to the States, showing off her outfits and food as she ate dinner on the long flight home.

The 31-year-old singer was in South America for a concert performance and spent days in Argentina with her friend Kate.

Kate was active on TikTok until two days ago, sharing videos from Argentina and even a photo post of her on a horse and the many feeding opportunities she had.

She also included a photo where Liam’s arm could be seen.

One of Kate’s posts from two days ago was about her flying back to her native Florida alone.

“Soooo happy to be back in the Sunshine State,” she captioned the video.

In the video, she explained that they were only supposed to stay in the city for five days, but that turned into two weeks.

Kate and Liam have been together on and off since 2022, and the first public photos of them appeared around November of the same year. They split in May 2023 but were seen together again the next month and have been together ever since.

The situation took a dramatic turn today when hotel staff called 911 to report an “aggressive” man in the hotel, consistent with witness statements describing Payne’s erratic behavior in the lobby shortly before his death.

In an alleged turn of events that led to his death, sources also claim that Payne smashed his laptop in a fit of rage shortly before the incident.

Local media, including La Nacion and Clarin, have confirmed that emergency services were called to the scene following reports of “an aggressive man who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

When police and paramedics arrived, they found Payne in the hotel courtyard, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

The circumstances that led to the fall are still under investigation.
