Hollywood is mourning One Direction member Liam Payne after he died unexpectedly on Wednesday at the age of 31.

The British-born pop star was staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when he fell from the third floor, state police said.

Heiress Paris Hilton commented on the devastating news on I send love and condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP my friend.”

Singer Charlie Puth took to his Instagram Story to share a series of photos with Payne and a mournful message.

“I’m in shock right now,” the “We Don’t Talk Anymore” singer wrote. “Liam was always so nice to me. He was one of the first great artists I had the opportunity to work with.

“I can’t believe he’s gone… I’m so upset right now, may he rest in peace.”

Fellow musician Zedd added: “RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real… absolutely heartbreaking…”

Payne’s One Direction bandmate Harry Style’s mother, Anne Twist, also mourned the late singer, posting a photo of a broken heart emoji on Instagram.

“Just a boy…💔,” she wrote.

Rapper Ty Dolla $ign re-shared a video of Payne on his Instagram Story and wrote, “I just talked to you two days ago my man. I miss you frfr (sic).”

Wesley Stromberg of boy band Emblem3 said he was “heartbroken.”

“I can’t believe the news about @LiamPayne… such a cool, talented guy,” he wrote on X. Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in paradise.”

“RIP Liam Payne, wow I can’t believe there are prayers for the family,” added rapper Juicy J.

Multiple witnesses told TMZ they saw the singer fall after he was behaving erratically around 5 p.m. local time.

The outlet reported that the “Night Changes” singer smashed his laptop and was carried back to his hotel room.

It is unclear whether the fall was an accident or intentional.

Photos obtained by TMZ showed Payne’s body on the hotel patio, surrounded by chairs and tables.

The picture didn’t show the “What Makes You Beautiful” singer’s entire body, but his tattoos could be seen on his arm and hip.

Payne rose to fame in 2010 alongside his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.

He has stayed in touch with the boy band since their split in 2015 and most recently attended Horan’s concert at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires earlier this month.

The British icon has previously spoken about hitting rock bottom and turning to drugs and alcohol while performing with One Direction.

Payne shared seven-year-old son Bear Gray with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Cole, whom he dated from 2016 to 2018.
