“A lot has happened and I recently had surgery where I had to take some nasty medications that I hated so much,” she said.

“One day in May I discovered this large mass on my neck. It humbled me and I took tests – everything you can imagine. Everything was negative.

“It turned out that I have a so-called cyst, more precisely a brachial cyst.

“(The doctors) said I don’t need to have it removed if I don’t want to. So I didn’t get it (removed) but it continued to grow.

“I decided to undergo further testing and after three tests and a biopsy everything was still negative, but the doctors advised me to have it removed as soon as possible as it was the size of a small grapefruit and could become infected or infected , worse yet, could ignite. Leak.”

Williams shared her vision of the procedure she had to undergo to have it removed.

“So I ended up having to have it removed. It was so big, it was the size of a grapefruit, and it kind of hurt when I came out,” she continued.

“Of course I got a general anesthetic for it, but they had to put in a drain because it was so much.

“But everything worked out and I’m really lucky to have worked with some great doctors.

“I’m a little scared here, but I’m excited to move forward with the next steps of healing and wellness.”

The 43-year-old mother of two successfully survived the operation and was still able to keep a promise to her eldest daughter Olympia.

“I’m so grateful and lucky that everything worked out, and most importantly, I’m healthy,” she said.

“I still made it to American Doll with Olympia as promised. And yes, everything is fine.”

Williams is one of the greatest players in tennis history, having won 23 Grand Slams, third only to Novak Djokovic and Margaret Court (both 24).

She has been retired for over two years, but recently released a cryptic teaser for tennis fans around the world.

Williams last appeared in a professional match at the US Open 2022, where she was eliminated in the third round by Australian Ajla Tomljanovic.

She had indicated a month earlier that she was “moving away from tennis” but refused to use the R-word.

“I’ve never liked the word ‘retirement,'” she said in August 2022.

However, Williams is officially retired.

Her name appeared on the International Tennis Integrity Agency’s list of retired players on September 3, 2022.

However, that hasn’t stopped rumors of an unlikely comeback.

And a message she posted in May did nothing to quell those rumors.

“I’m ready to hit a few balls again,” the 42-year-old said matter-of-factly at the time.

Whether that meant she wanted to make a full-fledged comeback in the game or whether she simply felt ready to make another social hit, no one knew.

But it sent the internet into a frenzy.

By the next morning, the post had already reached 4.3 million people.

“The news we needed today,” the Tennis Channel responded.
