Former operator of Two Rivers Haunted House convicted in sexual assault case

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WFRV) – The former operator of a haunted house in Two Rivers was sentenced in court Wednesday about a year after his arrest in connection with sexual assault.

John Schwarz, 38, of Two Rivers, reached a plea agreement on charges of sexual battery and psychological harm to a child. One of the four charges he originally faced was dropped due to a no contest plea.

“I truly hope that this will serve as motivation for you to do the very hard work to bring about the necessary changes,” Manitowoc District Court Judge Jerilyn Dietz said at the sentencing.

The sentence corresponds to the time he has already served since his arrest. However, he also faces five years of probation.

Black faces an additional prison sentence if he has contact with anyone under the age of 18.
