Argentinian reports claim former One Direction star Liam Payne has died aged 31

Tragically, British singer Liam Payne, 31, was found dead this Wednesday in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to Argentine media, the One Direction member is said to have fallen from the third floor of a hotel in the city.

News outlets such as TMZ and Infobae confirmed the story through Buenos Aires police sources. They reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 16, at Hotel Casa Sur. Emergency services were called after reports of “an aggressive person, possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” When emergency medical services (SAME) arrived, they confirmed Payne’s death.

Liam James Payne was born on August 29, 1993 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. From a young age he was passionate about both music and sports. He once shared in interviews that he originally dreamed of becoming an Olympic athlete, but his musical talent led him down a different path.

The rise of a direction

Liam rose to fame after appearing in the British television series The X Factor in 2010, where he met the other members of what would become one of the most famous boy bands in the world: One Direction. Along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, the group toured the world and achieved great success until their hiatus in 2015.
