Former One Direction star Liam Payne dies after falling from hotel

Former One Direction singer Liam Payne has reportedly died after falling from a hotel floor in Argentina.

According to local officials, the 31-year-old singer fell from the third floor of the hotel in the state capital Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

TMZ reported the tragedy at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, but it is unclear whether his death was intentional or accidental.

Witnesses also told news outlets that the singer had been “acting erratically in the hotel lobby earlier” and that “he broke his laptop and had to be carried back to his room.”

According to FOX News, Payne had spoken about his mental health and addiction issues at the height of the 1D mania in 2021. He also confessed that he turned back to alcohol while isolating at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
