Video shows attack on Autauga County school bus; One in custody

On Friday evening, 10/11/2024, the Autauga County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Autauga County Board of Education and the Prattville Baptist Emergency Department of an altercation on a school bus. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the altercation involved two attackers, an 18-year-old male and a 14-year-old female, who inflicted injuries on another 14-year-old female.

Today 18 year old Antarion Brandon Miles was arrested for Assault 3^approx for the incident that occurred. This is an ongoing investigation and may involve additional charges against other individuals. The incident was filmed by people on the bus along with the bus surveillance system. The video showed that the victim did not provoke this brutal incident.

The Autauga County School Board and Sheriff’s Office will not tolerate any incident that causes disruption in Autauga County Schools or on a school bus. The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Autauga County Board of Education for their assistance in this investigation. No further information will be released at this time as this is an ongoing investigation and juveniles are involved.
