One person was injured in an accident in Lakeville

An accident caused Route 140 to be closed in Lakeville Wednesday morning.

Police said they responded to a report of an accident on the southbound side of the highway at 8 a.m.

Crews said the incident occurred near County Road on the ramp.

When the emergency services arrived, there was still one person in the car.

The person was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The highway has now been reopened, the police said.

It is unclear what caused the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
