A man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly causing a fatal crash that killed a motorcyclist in April.

On April 13, officers responded to a collision between a Chevrolet Suburban and a motorcycle at SE 29th Street and South Eastern Avenue in Oklahoma City.

The woman on the motorcycle was later pronounced dead at OU Medical Center.

According to an affidavit, footage of the crash showed the Suburban traveling westbound at a high rate of speed and failing to stop at the red light.

The motorcycle continued driving when the southbound traffic light turned green.

Investigators presented data showing the Suburban was traveling about 90 mph 5 seconds before impact.

One second before impact, the SUV’s speed was 61 miles per hour and was 45 miles per hour at the time of impact.

Suburban driver Travis Hill’s license was reportedly suspended at the time of the incident.

According to reports, when police searched the vehicle, they found two clear bags containing a powdery substance in a child’s lunch box.

The substances were cocaine and caffeine.

Officials said Hill has multiple felony convictions.

According to the affidavit, Hill is currently on unsupervised probation for possession of CDS in Oklahoma County until April 11, 2026.

His other beliefs included:

  • Trafficking in illegal drugs
  • False declaration to a pawnbroker
