Cloudco Entertainment and WildBrain team up for Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake crossover

Cloudco Entertainment and WildBrain are working together to create one Care Bears And Strawberry cake Crossovers. Developed under the working title The Care Berry switchIn the 44-minute special for preschoolers, Strawberry Shortcake and Cheer Bear wish on the same star for a new adventure. This opens a magical portal that allows them to change locations and explore each other’s worlds.

As a fish out of water with Strawberry in Care-A-Lot and Cheer Bear in Strawberryland, lots of humor, magic, fun and new friendships are created. But there’s trouble, as the iconic Strawberry foe Purple Pie Man and the Care Bears’ long-time nemesis No Heart conspire to cause chaos, leading to the Care Bears and the Berries teaming up to take over the worlds to save the ones they love and preserve the wonderful new friendships they have made.

Not only will this be the first time the Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake (both originally owned by American Greetings before passing to their current owners through a series of transactions) meet on screen, the special will also be one Homage to the 40+ years of history of both brands. Filled with fan-favorite villains, 1980s-inspired character designs and memes like “The Care Bear Stare,” this Strawberry Shortcake x Care Bears content collaboration will incorporate “best ofs” for both brands in a completely contemporary production.

“Bringing these two beloved and instantly recognizable brands together for the first time was an opportunity not to be missed, as their shared ethos of kindness and friendship is perfect for crossover adventure and fun,” said Steph Betts, EVP Content Creation at WildBrain. “It’s exciting to work with our colleagues at Cloudco to bring this shared vision to life and bring something very special to the millions of Strawberry Shortcake and Care Bears fans around the world.”

WildBrain and Cloudco will bring it The Care Berry switch at MIPCOM, the world’s leading content market, taking place in Cannes from October 18th to 24th.
