IIM-A: Demands for justice grow louder after IIM-A student’s tragic suicide |

Ahmedabad: Alumni and students of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), corporate professionals and even students aspiring to clear the Common Admission Test (CAT) have taken to various online platforms in the last two weeks to express their concerns over the pace of investigations suicide from a student of the leading B-school.
Akshith Bhukyaa second-year PGP student of IIM-A, had hanged himself in his hostel room on September 26. A case of accidental death has been registered at Vastrapur police station. Following the incident, the B-school has taken initiatives to streamline procedures and assured students of reforms.
“Those who sleep can be shaken awake, but for those who pretend to be asleep there is little escape. I exhort you to the administrators of IIM Ahmedabad, wherever you may be, in whatever capacity you are associated with this institute, to take action, to take a stand,” the student representatives said in an email to the Institute Director.
