25-year-old woman sexually assaulted in Bedford Park

Police told News 12 at 1 a.m. Sunday that a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted by a man she did not know.

The incident occurred in the area of ​​East Moshulu Parkway and Webster Avenue. Officials say the man then ran away and the woman was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. The woman is expected to be physically well.

The suspect is still at large and police are asking anyone with information to come forward by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577 (TIPS).
