Tragic road accident claims lives of a man and two sons in Jhansi | Kanpur News

Jhansi: Three people, including a 45-year-old man and his two sons aged 18 and 16, died in a road accident on Wednesday morning when a tractor was transporting over a dozen contract workers, including men, women and children, from the Talbehat in Lalitpur district, veered off the road and fell into an adjacent canal. Six people were injured in the accident.
The unfortunate event occurred in Sarseda village which falls under the jurisdiction of Sarseda Gursarain Police StationAs the overloaded tractor-trailer drove along a narrow road between a farm and a canal, the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into the canal. The car overturned and all occupants were trapped underneath.
After being alerted by the villagers, the police and rescue team quickly arrived at the scene and initiated the rescue operation. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene while the remaining people were taken to the nearby community health center. Another victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the facility. The deceased are Babloo Adiwasi and his two sons Deepak and Chotu. According to SP Rural Gopinath Soni, the seriously injured were referred to Jhansi Medical College for further treatment while the others were discharged from the CHC after receiving first aid. “We have sent the bodies for post-mortem,” Soni explained.
