Rocket-propelled grenades fired from Syria land near Turkey’s border with Kilis and ignite fires

Two rocket-propelled grenades fired from Syria landed near the Turkish border with Kilis. A rocket that ricocheted from clashes on the Syrian side of the Turkish border hit a mined area and ignited a fire.

Meanwhile, security sources indicate that the Turkish army was not involved in the incident and dispute claims that there was a response.

In the evening, the mortar shells hit rural areas, particularly Oylum Höyüğü and Akıncılar in Kilis, a city in southern Türkiye.

“There is no attack on our borders”

Meanwhile, the Turkish Center for Combating Disinformation states: “There has been no attack on our borders.”

“The Turkish armed forces are not involved in the conflict in Syria,” the statement continued.
