Deadly love triangle in Dallas: 1 dead in Southeast Oak Cliff shooting

A deadly Dallas love triangle is believed to be the cause of a shooting in the Southeast Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas on Tuesday afternoon, according to an affidavit.

The shooting happened just after 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Estelle Village Apartments in the 5900 block of Highland Village Drive.

Several witnesses called police about the shooting and said the suspect drove away in a silver Dodge Charger. When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Quentin Brown shot to death in the parking lot. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.

The affidavit states that officers had contact with the suspect and Brown minutes before the shooting. During this contact, officers noted the license plate number. The suspect was then identified as 22-year-old Alonzo Green.

Officers found Green in the vehicle about five miles away in the Red Bird neighborhood. He was arrested and taken to Dallas Police Headquarters. Police said Green had blood on his shoes and the gun was found in the Dodge Charger.

Green told investigators he drove from his home to the parking lot and shot Brown.

Investigators said a witness admitted that she had a sexual relationship with both Green and Brown and that they had recently argued with each other about their relationship with her. Her name will not be published for her safety.

Green was charged with murder. The shooting is still under investigation.
