Search for suspect after 19-year-old stabbed in back outside 1 Center Street in Lower Manhattan

LOWER MANHATTAN (WABC) – A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death Wednesday morning after an argument with a suspect in Lower Manhattan.

It happened just after 11:30 a.m. in front of 1 Center Street

The victim was waiting in line to respond to a traffic citation and got into an argument with someone there, police said.

The suspect stabbed him in the lower part of the back and fled toward Center Street.

Video surveillance shows the suspect came from the direction of police headquarters, walked west toward Center Street and stabbed him.

The victim was taken to hospital where he is expected to survive.

There have been no arrests so far and the investigation is ongoing.
