Police reports: Man breaks into occupied house and is later arrested; Car broken into garage

The following reports are from the most recent police summaries provided by departments in our service area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

Oct. 11

• A bicycle, helmet and backpack were reportedly stolen at Maple Avenue and 4th Street.

• Jewelry was reportedly stolen from a home in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard.

Oct. 10

• A home was reportedly broken into in the 100 block of Lauren Avenue; However, nothing was reported missing.

Oct. 8

• Jewelry was reportedly missing from a home in the 2500 block of Greenwood Avenue.

WINNETKA

Oct. 3

• More than $5,000 was reportedly stolen from a resident’s bank account in a fraudulent transaction.

GLENCOE

Oct. 7

• A person was arrested after he allegedly drove a car across a residential lawn, illegally entered a residence in the 1100 block of Elm Ridge Drive and then fled in the vehicle. The individual was reportedly arrested in Northbrook and charged with trespassing, reckless driving and drunk driving.

HIGHLAND PARK

Oct. 10

• A rental car was reportedly not returned to Avis/Budget, 1333 Park Avenue West.

Oct. 8

• Cash and keys were reportedly stolen from an unlocked garage parked in an open garage in the 2000 block of Tennyson Lane.

NORTH FIELD

Oct 13

• An iPhone was reportedly stolen from New Trier High School, 7 Happ Road.

Oct. 11

• A customer reportedly left Fields BMW without paying for services provided.

KENILWORTH

No incidents were reported between September 27th and October 27th. 4
