Boonville man arrested for firing a gun during a domestic dispute

Boonville police announced the arrest of a man wanted for firing a weapon during a domestic dispute.

The Cooper County Prosecutor’s Office charged Phillip Clubb with domestic violence, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police officers were called to the 800 block of 4th Street at 9:26 p.m. Monday for shots fired.

Officers discovered that there had been a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.

The victim said before she left, the man pointed a gun at her and fired it in her direction.

Police arrested Clubb on Tuesday.

He was being held in the Cooper County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
