Witness describes shooting at White Center car wash that sent one man to the hospital

WHITE CENTER, Washington – Officials say a man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times.

Officials said a suspect is now in custody after the incident occurred late Tuesday night at a car wash near Saars Super Saver Foods on 16th Avenue Southwest.

“Seven, six shots,” said witness Naomi Bailey, describing the numerous shots she heard. “We all came down and wanted to see where it came from.”

“I opened the curtain and saw a man running from his truck and another man running from the scene,” Bailey added.

According to authorities, criminal activity, including fights, shootings and stabbings, occurred frequently at this car wash.

Officials have not released the victim’s condition but are still investigating.
