Popeyes worker stabs customers after argument turns into argument

PHILADELPHIA – Police say a worker at a Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen location in North Philadelphia is cooperating with police after stabbing a customer late Tuesday night.

The situation began at the store at 6000 N. Broad St. around 11:04 p.m. Tuesday.

According to Fox 29, the 28-year-old person who was stabbed was picking up an order when he got into an argument with the store’s employees.

Police told NBC10 that the customer started an argument with the workers, which resulted in one of the workers pulling out a knife.

That 34-year-old employee stabbed the customer in the head and torso before the customer fled, Action News reports.

The customer was found nearby and taken into custody. He is in stable condition.

The employee remained on scene to cooperate with police.

Police have not announced any charges against the worker.
