“’Living Dead,’ Rust Belt Theater’s Horror Parody, Returns to Life”

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – After a year-long hiatus, Rust Belt Theater Company brings its original show “Living Dead: The Musical” to Club Switch, 221 Belmont Ave., with performances October 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m ., back. Downtown.

Written by theater general manager Robert Dennick Joki and Josh Taylor, “Living Dead” is a musical parody of classic horror films based on George A. Romero’s 1968 zombie classic “Night of the Living Dead.” .

“We took a break from this script last season and many of our patrons missed it,” Joki said. “So the show is back this year, with a new cast and new eyes.”

This year’s production – the theater’s 12thTh – is directed by Keith Stepanic.

The cast includes Nicole Zayas, Caitlyn Murphy, Sarah Whitlach, Heather Powell, Rian Davis, Brooke Jonas, Jon Bunge, Samantha Foster, Caitlyn Cole, Lisa Torrence, Diane Marie, Cadence Treich, Patience Miles, Keith Stepanic, Robert May and Jessica Patoray , Jennifer Hutton, Adelyn Crum, Eli Smith and Vicci Sfikas.
