SM Entertainment terminates contract of ex-NCT member Taeil due to criminal allegations – Asian Junkie

If the crimes, the former NCT Member Taeil are accused were recently revealedthere were many questions about it SM entertainment regarding why he was still with the company. Well, they apparently have had enough of the speculation about it and have announced that they have terminated his contract.

We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Taeil has been terminated as of October 15, 2024.
Criminal proceedings are currently being initiated against Taeil by the public prosecutor. Not only does this constitute grounds for termination of our contract, but it also makes it impossible to maintain trust in him as an artist. As a result, both parties have mutually agreed to terminate the contract.

I’m honestly not sure what they’ve discovered in the month or so since its removal that they didn’t know to make this move beforehand.
