Teen critically injured in Portland shooting

PORTLAND (WGME) – A 17-year-old was shot and killed in Portland early Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police said they responded to 1390 Forest Avenue around 2:20 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

When police arrived, they found a 17-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teen was taken to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting is under investigation.

There is no information yet on whether there have been any arrests.
