Controversial biopic about Donald Trump: Trump’s biopic “The Apprentice” shows how he sexually abused his ex-wife Ivana. Former US President beats up makers

A few weeks before the exciting US presidential elections, director Ali Abbasi threw a cinematic grenade into cinemas: Donald Trump’s biopic “The Apprentice”. “The Apprentice,” which opened in theaters over the weekend, reflects on Trump’s journey as a real estate entrepreneur in New York in the 1970s and 1980s.

Former President Donald Trump has harshly criticized his newly released biopic “The Apprentice,” calling it “false, classless and politically disgusting.” Trump has also attacked the makers as the film reportedly contains a scene in which he sexually abuses his ex-wife. Wife Ivana Trump.

Trump broke his silence amid shocking allegations of sexual assault against his ex-wife Ivana, who died in 2022. The former US president praised his late ex-wife Ivana as a “nice and wonderful person” and said he had a great relationship with her.

Trump claims the film, written by political journalist Gabriel Sherman, is defamatory and a political attack ahead of the 2024 election.

Trump’s alleged sexual assault on his ex-wife Ivanka

According to a USA Today report, in one scene in the film, Trump tells Ivana that he is no longer attracted to her, to which she responds that he is fat and bald. Donald Trump then threw her to the ground, climbed on top of her and sexually assaulted his wife as she screamed for him to stop, the report said. The alleged rape is taken from a court deposition “that Ivana gave under oath during her divorce in 1990,” says Gabriel Sherman. “In fact, the scene she described in the divorce papers was far more graphic and brutal than the one we dramatized in the film.” Later in 2015, during his first presidential campaign, Ivana recanted her rape allegations. The scene sparked an uproar as Trump intimidated the filmmakers with a cease-and-desist letter and attempted to block the film’s release.

Trump blasts filmmakers

Donald Trump, who is engaged in a neck-and-neck battle with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, has slammed filmmakers on Truth Social and questioned the filmmakers’ right to use that name without permission.

“It is a cheap, defamatory and politically repugnant hatchet job carried out just before the 2024 presidential election to damage the greatest political movement in our country’s history: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he wrote.

“The author of this garbage heap, Gabe Sherman, a mean and talentless scribbler who has long been widely discredited, knew this but chose to ignore it,” he continued.

“It is so sad that HUMAN SCUM, just like the people involved in this hopefully unsuccessful enterprise, are allowed to say and do whatever they want to harm a political movement that is much bigger than any of us,” concluded the ex-president.

However, according to the film’s author, the scene that Ivana recounted in her divorce papers was “actually far more graphic and brutal than the one we dramatized in the film.”
