Curwensville Domestic Violence Suspect – Connect FM | Local news radio

CURWENSVILLE – A Curwensville man is behind bars after an alleged domestic assault last Friday.

State police initially received reports of the suspected assault at the emergency room at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

The female victim had visible injuries including bruises, cuts, scratches and a swollen eye.

She told officers that 40-year-old Jeffery Gearhart was drunk and the two got into a verbal argument when he tried to leave.

The victim then took his keys so he couldn’t drive. He then allegedly pushed her to the ground and began punching and kicking her several times.

Gearhart then took the keys and fled with her two children.

He is currently being held at the Clearfield County Jail, where a preliminary hearing will be held on October 16.
