Bella Hadid’s unexpected turn at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Although Bella Hadid has taken a break from modeling to focus on her health, she made an exception and walked the runway at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday night in New York.

Like her sister Gigi Hadid, the model returned to the Angels runway after a six-year hiatus following the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The younger Hadid wore a sizzling lace bra and underwear set paired with strappy sandals with wrap-around straps and fringe detailing in matching red.

Her look was given extra volume by a larger-than-life, floor-length feathered jacket. To complete the ensemble, Hadid styled her hair into a sleek center-parted bob with red tones, adding to the fiery look.

“I can’t believe I just closed Victoria’s Secret [Fashion Show]. What. Is. Life,” Hadid posted on her Instagram Stories about her surprise runway appearance. Hadid previously expressed mixed feelings about attending the brand’s lingerie show and said she felt “more confident” when she walked for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty during New York Fashion Week in September 2019.

Hadid wore a black and white lace athleisure-style ensemble with a half jacket for her first runway appearance at the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. This look was part of the “Downtown Angel” segment and combined sporty elements with classic lingerie aesthetics.

Her second outfit was a light blue lingerie set adorned with swirling feather wings. She completed this ethereal look with light pink feathery heels and a sparkly necklace.

After a six-year hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back. The 2024 spectacle will air live on Prime Video and on the brand’s YouTube, Instagram and TikTok channels. Former Angels like Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio and Taylor Hill will walk the runway alongside new faces like Paloma Elsesser and Devyn Garcia. Cher, Tyla and Lisa from Blackpink are the musical guests of the evening.
