Iraq’s anti-terrorism resistance groups have carried out a drone strike on a key target in the Israeli-occupied territories in response to the regime’s atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese countryside.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of counterterrorism fighters, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement posted on its Telegram channel early Wednesday, stressing that it was carried out by an advanced unmanned aerial vehicle .

It said the drone strike was carried out as a continuation of resistance against the Israeli occupation regime, in support of the Palestinians in Gaza and the Lebanese people, and in retaliation for the massacres carried out by the usurping Zionist entity against unarmed civilians, including women, children, etc. , perpetrated by older people.

The coalition noted that it would continue to target and destroy key facilities in the occupied territories.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been carrying out such operations against sensitive targets in the occupied territories since October 7 last year, when the Israeli regime launched a genocidal war in Gaza.

At least 42,344 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed so far in the brutal Israeli military attack.

On Monday, Iraqi anti-terrorism resistance groups individually launched drone strikes against strategic targets in the Jordan Valley and the port of Haifa in the northern part of the Israeli-occupied territories.

The coalition has also carried out retaliatory attacks against US occupation bases in Iraq and neighboring Syria because of Washington’s unbridled political, military and intelligence support for Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.
