Tragic accident on national highway 65 claims two lives

BIDAR: A tragic accident National highway-65 in Basavakalyan taluk resulted in the death of a pedestrian and a motorcyclist. The victims are Gulchand Gayakwad (40), the pedestrian, and Ajay (21), the cyclist.

The incident took place when Gulchand was walking on the side of the road and Ajay’s motorcycle, which was traveling at high speed from the opposite direction, hit him. The impact was so severe that Gulchand was dragged for over 500 meters before the motorcycle finally came to a stop. Shortly after stopping, the motorcycle caught fire.

The entire incident was recorded on CCTV cameras and a case has been registered at Basavakalyan traffic police station for further investigation.
