“I’m very lucky to be here,” said an accident victim of a suspected aggressive driver

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – Over the past few weeks, KBTX has sent several videos about dangerous driving and near misses to our newsroom.

August 14th in College Station was a day full of traffic. It was move-in weekend for A&M students, but for rideshare driver Teri Bolin, it was a life-changing one.

“I left my house about 5 miles from the young lady I was picking up and driving to work,” Bolin said.

As she was about to start the drive, she spotted an aggressive driver on FM 2818 in her rearview mirror and then said things were going to get ugly.

“I think it’s possible that not only was it an aggressive driver, but he may have even hit me intentionally,” she said.

The accident left her covered in blood in a roadside pond and suffering a broken femur, broken ankle and two spinal vertebrae.

Bryan police released a KBTX statement that reads in part.

“If anyone observes reckless driving behavior, we ask that they make sure to try to get a good license plate, description of the vehicle and direction of travel and report it,” said Officer Seth Waller.

Bolin adds that she just wants people to think twice next time they’re out because it could save a life.
