McAllen man convicted after recording himself sexually abusing a minor

According to a news release, a 29-year-old McAllen resident pleaded guilty to enticement of minors and production of child pornography.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Christian Hanks recorded himself having sexual intercourse with an underage victim in December 2023.

An investigation revealed that Hanks had a conversation with another underage victim in the Western District of Louisiana in an attempt to entice her to engage in sexual acts with him. The investigation revealed that he also had sexual intercourse with a second underage victim, the statement continued.

Hanks faces a life sentence on the more serious charge of luring a minor. He will remain in federal custody until his sentencing in January 2025.
