Driver killed in rollover crash in South Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in South Austin Tuesday evening.

The Austin Fire Department and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the crash at the intersection of northbound Stassney Lane and South Interstate 35 Service Road around 10:42 p.m

One person was trapped in the vehicle and was able to be freed. Unfortunately, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:56 p.m

Motorists are asked to avoid the area to allow first responders time to clear the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
