A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in connection with the stabbing murder of a homeless local woman.

The incident occurred in the 2500 block of Babcock Road in a wooded area behind the location.

According to Crimestoppers, on Thursday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m., San Antonio police were called to the scene for an apparent sudden death.

Officers found the victim, later identified as 47-year-old Regina Meyer Martinez, behind the apartments in a wooded area with multiple stab wounds. Her body was found on the 7200 block of Snowden Road. Martinez appeared to be homeless and was found near a homeless encampment, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 210-224-7867. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
