Officer-involved shooting at the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in Eagle

EAGLE, Idaho — Police are responding to an officer-involved shooting in Eagle Tuesday evening.

A news release from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office states that sheriff’s office deputies were involved in an officer-involved shooting at the Optimist Youth Sports Complex in Eagle.

The press release goes on to say that the person is deceased and there is no threat to public safety. According to the sheriff’s office, no officers were injured and the incident was not related to any event or activity at the fields.

The Critical Incident Task Force has been activated and the Boise Police Department is the lead investigative agency.
