1 person was airlifted to the hospital, 3 were injured in a crash in Elizabethtown

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Four people were injured in a crash in Elizabethtown Tuesday night.

E-Town police said the accident occurred in the 2000 block of North Mulberry Street around 8 p.m. An initial investigation revealed that a van carrying four people was attempting to turn left when it failed to yield the right of way to a truck, resulting in the front of the truck crashing into the side of the van.

According to police, one person in the van was seriously injured and had to be flown to University of Louisville Hospital. The other three van passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.
