22-year-old man dies after being stabbed early this morning

Officials said a man died from his injuries after police found him suffering from multiple stab wounds in West Farms.

At 2:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, emergency responders said they responded to calls of a young man critically injured on E 178th Street. At the crime scene they said they found a 22-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his stomach, chest, back and arm.

Police said the person was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition. He later died in hospital.

Sources confirmed that it was an argument that led to the fatal knife attack.

News 12 saw blocks of crime scene tape at the scene, as well as dry blood stains on the ground.

Investigators were reportedly investigating a car accident a block away in connection with the 22-year-old’s death.

A man who spoke to News 12 off camera said he grew up with the victim. He claimed to have seen the 22-year-old an hour before his death.

“I can’t believe this is the last time I’ll ever see him,” he cried.

There were no arrests.
